Bhubaneswar: At least two people were killed and another critically injured in a road mishap on National Highway No 20 near Barapada chhak in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Tuesday morning.
While the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, the injured victim has been admitted to a nearby hospital.
According to reports, a man crossing the NH-20 near Darapada Chhak sustained critical injuries after he was hit by a speeding motorcycle. The unidentified man later succumbed to his injuries. Subsequently, a truck rammed into the biker killing him on the spot. On the other hand, the bike caught fire under the impact of the collision with the truck and was reduced to ashes.
On being informed, police reached the spot and detained the truck driver for interrogation.
