Angul: In a tragic incident, two labourers – a man and a woman – died due to asphyxiation while cleaning a septic tank in Dhaurapali village under Kishorenagar police limits in Odisha’s Angul district on Wednesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Reena Mahar and Artatrana Mirdha.
According to reports, the two labourers went inside the septic tank of a house in the village on Wednesday morning. However, they fell critically ill due to emission of poisonous gases and died due to suffocation in the sewage tank.
The two were rushed to the local community health center where the doctors declared them brought dead.
