Two Minor Girls Drown In Well In Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: In a devastating incident, two minor girls drowned in a well in Chhelipadar village under Kosagumuda block in Nabarangpur district on Tuesday.

The deceased girls have been identified as Tanu Bhatra (12) and Manjula Bhatra (12).

The girls had gone to take a bath in the well after celebrating Guru Divas at school. When they failed to return home, their families launched a search and alerted the Kosagumuda fire department and police.

Firefighters and police personnel retrieved the bodies of Tanu and Manjula from the well. The police have sent the bodies to Kosagumuda Hospital for autopsy.

The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the region, leaving the villagers in shock.
