Sundaragada: Five persons have been detained for questioning after two minor girls were allegedly gang-raped in the Biramitrapur police station area of Sundaragada district, police said.
According to the complaint, the two girls were returning home after attending Karma Puja celebrations on Monday when some youths allegedly took them to a nearby forested area and sexually assaulted them.
Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and brought five persons to the police station for questioning, sources said.
Further investigation is underway, and police are examining the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident.
