Two Minor Sisters Drown In Pond In Bhadrak

Bhadrak: A heart-wrenching incident occurred in Bhutanasi village, near Basudevpur Naikanidihi police station in Bhadrak district, where two sisters died after drowning in a pond.

The deceased, Chandini Mandal (6) and Nandini Mandal, had visited their uncle’s village to inquire about their ailing uncle’s health. While the family was taking the uncle to the hospital, the two sisters accidentally fell into the pond.

Despite efforts to rescue them, the sisters were declared dead at the Basudevpur Community Health Centre. The loss has left their relatives devastated, and the family is still in shock. The incident has sent shockwaves through the village. Many gathered at the medical complex to offer support.
