Two Minor Sisters Drown In Subarnarekha River In Balasore

Balasore: A heart-wrenching incident occurred on Shravan Purnima in Balasore district, where two minor sisters drowned in the Subarnarekha river while fetching holy water for Jalabhiseka at a nearby Shiva temple.

The sisters, Nandita and Nandini, daughters of Kahnu Das from Chakhari village, went missing while bathing at the Shikharpur ghat with their friends. According to reports, they slipped into the river due to carelessness.

Upon receiving the information, the Jaleswar police and fire department promptly arrived at the scene and initiated a search operation. The rescue efforts are underway, with fire services personnel and locals continuing otheir peration tirelessly to locate the girls.
