Puri: Kumbharpada police recovered the body of a two-month-old baby girl from the toilet of a bus stop near Gundicha Temple in Puri on Tuesday.
According to sources, locals informed police after finding the infant’s body lying in the toilet. Upon being informed, Kumbharpada police seized the body and sent it to District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem.
Police, meanwhile, registered an unnatural death case in this connection and launched a probe into the matter.
A few days back, police rescued a month-old baby boy from Talabania area and handed her over to the Child Welfare Committee.
It is learnt that the baby boy is undergoing treatment at District Head Quarters Hospital.
