Bhubaneswar: Two persons including a woman were killed in a fatal road accident in Kalyansinghpur of Rayagada district.
The deceased were Purendra Mahanandia and a woman of Pandarapada village under Kalyansinghpur block in Rayagada..
The accident took place at around 8 PM on Thursday.
Both were going from JK Pur to Rayagada on a scooty. Their scooty hit a roadside divider near Bhakurguda. They fell down and a truck coming from behind ran over them killing them on the spot.
Both were working in an NGO.
The police have seized the bodies for post-mortem and are investigating the incident.
