Jagatsinghpur: Two pigeons with electronic devices attached to their legs were rescued from the restricted area of Paradip Port in Jagatsinghpur district.

The birds were initially spotted flying and perched on a ship at Paradip International Cargo Terminal (PICT). Workers at PICT alerted the company authorities, who then informed the Paradip Ideal Police. The police subsequently notified the Kujang forest officials who dispatched staff to rescue the pigeons.

This incident comes after a similar rescue operation was conducted earlier, where a suspected pigeon was rescued from a trawler in the middle of the sea and handed over to Kujang forest officials.
