Puri: Two tourists were injured after being hit by a pickup van near the Nandighosha Rath of Lord Jagannath in Puri on Monday.
The injured tourists have been identified as Baijayanti Sahu and Girish Sahu. Baijayanti has broken her left leg while Girish has sustained severe injuries on his hands.
Reportedly, the driver of the pickup van suffered a seizure and lost control of the vehicle. As a result, it hit the two tourists.
Both the tourists and the driver, identified as Asit Kumar Jena, were admitted to Puri hospital. Jena was later detained by police.
