Two Women Workers Die As Tractor Overturns In Odisha’s Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: Two women workers were killed after a tractor they were travelling by overturned at Amundi village under Patrapur K Nuagaon police station limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Sunday evening.

The deceased were identified as Jhunu Naik, wife of Madhab Naik, and Jhunu Naik, wife of Murlai Naik. Both were residents of Chaitanya Chandrapur Sasan village.

According to reports, the two women workers were returning home with a threshing machine after work. As the tractor overturned, the machine fell on the two women crushing them to death.

The locals rescued the women and rushed them to a healthcare center in Patrapur where the doctors declared one of them ‘brought dead’. The other woman was shifted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
