Two Youths Killed Due To Head-On Collision Between Bikes In Gunupur

Bhubaneswar: Two persons were killed in a tragic road accident after their bikes collided head-on near Bada Baridi under Gunupur area in Rayagada district.

The deceased have been identified as Shiba Mandangi and Araka Bhugana.

According to local sources, Shiba had gone to Chinariguda village for personal work and was returning home when the accident occurred. His motorcycle collided head-on with another bike ridden by Araka, who was coming from the opposite direction. Both riders were thrown onto the road and sustained critical injuries. They were rushed to Gunupur Sub-Divisional Hospital where they were declared dead.

Police reached the spot after being informed and sent the bodies for post-mortem. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
