Koraput: Two youths were killed while one was critically injured after an altercation broke out between two groups at Sindhipar village under Damanjodi Police Station in Koraput district on Thursday night.
The deceased have been identified as Purna Nayak and Debendra Dami. The injured youth identified as Somnath Dami has been shifted to a private hospital at Visakhapatnam.
Reportedly, the youths had been attacked with sharp weapons after a fight between people of two neighbouring streets during Chaitra Parba in the village yesterday.
Damanjodi Police have detained some persons in this connection and a probe is underway. However, the main accused is still absconding, said sources.
