Cuttack: Two youths drowned to death while bathing in river Birupa at Choudwar’s Khordha Sahi in Cuttack district on Friday.
The deceased youths have been identified as Krushna Chandra Sahu and Mayank Sahu of Khordha Sahi.
The youths who were swept away by the river’s current while bathing were rescued by locals and rushed to SCB Medical College & Hospital here in critical condition.
However, they were declared dead by the attending doctors at the hospital.
