Baripada: A Special Fast Track POCSO Court in Mayurbhanj on Wednesday sentenced a 27-year-old lecturer to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) for the rape of a minor college student and the subsequent viral circulation of her obscene videos.
The convict Manas Ranjan Barik, a resident of Amarda village under Rasgovindpur police station limits was employed as a lecturer at Sai Sadhana Junior College in Udala. The court found him guilty of developing an illicit relationship with the minor student, sexually assaulting her, and using recorded videos to blackmail her.
