Unaccounted Cash Worth Rs 1.5 Lakh Seized From Car In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Commisionerate police officials on election duty seized unaccounted cash amounting to Rs 1.5 lakh from a car on Tuesday.

Police apprehended the suspicious car and seized the cash late Tuesday night during a routine check-up at Falcon Square coming under Laxmisagar P.S, Bhubaneswar.

The man driving the car was not able to provide satisfactory explanations regarding the source of unaccounted cash to the police, which led to the seizure.

According to reports, the detainee was on his way home when police waylaid his car.

The seized amount has been sent to the District Grievances Committee, Khordha for further inquiry.
