Bhubaneswar: Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is scheduled to visit Odisha tomorrow (November 10) to participate in a series of official programmes.
He will attend the inaugural session of the ‘Mandia Dibasa’ (Millet Day) programme at the Lok Seva Bhavan Convention Centre in the morning. The programme aims to promote millet cultivation and raise awareness about the nutritional benefits of millets among farmers and the general public.
Later in the day, Chouhan will visit the Sadar area of Cuttack, where he will interact with farmers, listen to their experiences, and understand the challenges they face in agriculture. He is also expected to seek suggestions from farmers regarding central agricultural policies and review the on-ground implementation and impact of various government schemes.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister will participate in a meeting at the ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI) in Cuttack, where he will discuss research initiatives and advancements in rice cultivation.
Chouhan is scheduled to depart from Bhubaneswar for Vijayawada in the evening, concluding his one-day visit to Odisha.
