Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths launched simultaneous searches at seven locations across Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Kendrapara districts today, in connection with allegations of disproportionate assets against Prasanna Samantaray, Kantapara Tahasildar in Cuttack.
Searches are being conducted by two Additional Superintendents of Police (ASP), eight DSPs, 11 inspectors, five Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance in Cuttack.
The searches are being conducted at:
- A residential triple-storeyed building at Kesara in Bhubaneswar
- Another residential building (under construction) in Kesara, Bhubaneswar
- His paternal house in Duchhia, Alibada, Puri
- A relative’s house in Laxmisagar, Bhubaneswar
- His office chamber at Kantapada, Cuttack
- A relative’s house in Badapaldia, Kendrapara
- His government quarter at Kantapada, Cuttack
