Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance officials launched simultaneous searches at seven locations linked to Sanjay Kumar Kispatta, Executive Engineer with Odisha Construction Corporation (OCC) Ltd., Bhubaneswar, on Monday on charges of possessing disproportionate assets.
The raids are being conducted on allegations that Kispatta, who previously served as Assistant Executive Engineer at P.A., ITDA, Koraput, has accumulated assets far beyond his known sources of income.
A team comprising six DSPs, eight Inspectors, seven ASIs, and other supporting staff is carrying out the searches. The operations are being conducted on the basis of search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Jeypore.
Locations being searched are:
- Rented residential house at Tikra Sahi, behind Mutyalu Maa Temple, Koraput.
- Four-storeyed commercial building at Plot No. 71, Khata No. 125/2790, Mouza-Kumbha-I, Koraput Town.
- Under-construction residential house at Khata No. 77, Plot No. 534 (Sub-Plot No. 25) & Plot No. 534, and Khata No. 14, Plot No. 375, Mouza-Kumbha-II, Koraput.
- Parental residential house at Village Lateimunda, PS-Lahunipada, Dist-Sundargarh.
- Under-construction three-storeyed building at Village Lateimunda, PS-Lahunipada, Dist-Sundargarh (Plot Nos. 98/352 & 98/356, Khata Nos. 63/76 & 63/103).
- Residential quarter and office chamber in Bhubaneswar.
- Residential quarter and office chamber in Balangir.
Searches are currently underway at all seven locations. Further details regarding the recovery of assets and other findings are awaited.
