Bhubaneswar: A high-level review meeting of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) was held today under the leadership of Principal Secretary Usha Padhee reaffirming Odisha’s unwavering commitment to shaping a sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready urban ecosystem.
The deliberations focused on the transformative role of urbanization and the urgency of accelerating reforms to ensure efficient and equitable public service delivery across the state’s urban landscape.
Principal Secretary emphasized the need for swift, coordinated action on flagship initiatives such as PMAY 2.0 and AMRUT, while highlighting the importance of revenue augmentation and proactive planning to address seasonal challenges—particularly the intensifying heatwave and the upcoming monsoon.
Taking the vision forward, the Director of Municipal Administration (DMA) and Additional Secretaries laid out a clear roadmap with actionable points and defined timelines, ensuring measurable progress across all 115 ULBs, District Urban Development Agencies, and Development Authorities.
Together, these efforts mark a decisive step in Odisha’s journey towards building resilient, vibrant, and citizen-centric cities in line with the vision of Viksit Odisha.
