Bhubaneswar: In a move to enhance regional connectivity and passenger convenience, Indian Railways has introduced an experimental stoppage for the Visakhapatnam-Amritsar Hirakud Express at Belpahar station.
The stoppage, which began on a trial basis, aims to cater to the needs of local passengers and improve travel options in the region.
The train from Visakhapatnam to Amritsar (Train No. 20807) will halt at Belpahar at 3:02 pm and depart at 3:04 pm. In contrast, the train from Amritsar to Visakhapatnam (Train No. 20808) will halt at Belpahar at 6:44 am and depart at 6:46 am.
This new stop is expected to benefit passengers travelling to and from Belpahar, providing them with more convenient travel options. The experimental nature of the stop allows for feedback from passengers, which can help determine the long-term viability of the stop.
