Bhubaneswar: The coastal belt of Odisha is likely to experience rainfall along with thunder and lightning on Monday.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that there will be light to moderate rains in the State’s, coastal areas and a warm wind flow under seasonal influence.
Light to moderate rains are expected in 15 districts of the State including, Baleswar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Nuapada and Boudh.
Heatwave will prevail in the western districts of Odisha, including Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Boudh and Nuapada and will continue till June 12.
Rainfall is expected to continue in the coastal belt due to the Nor’wester effect.
