Weather Update: Rain, Thundershower, & Lightning Alert For 6 Odisha Dists

Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain, thundershower, with lightning is very likely to occur in some regions of Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Khordha, and Puri districts within the next 3 hours, according to a Nowcast notification from the IMD.

The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department has alerted people residing in the aforementioned districts by issuing a ‘Yellow’ warning.

Alerting against lightning strikes, the weather report has advised people to move to safer places, by monitoring the changing weather conditions.

“People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning,” read the notification by the regional centre of IMD.
