Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, has issued a nowcast warning for seven districts of Odisha for the next three hours.
Thunderstorm with lightning, light to moderate rain, and wind speeds reaching 40 to 50 kmph are very likely at one or two places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, and Bargarh.
The Duty Officer at the Meteorological Centre has advised people to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions. Residents in the affected districts should be ready to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
The alert remains in effect for the next three hours from the time of issue.
