Bhubaneswar: The low pressure area over eastcentral and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has become a well-marked low pressure area, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.
According to the IMD, the system lay over eastcentral Bay of Bengal at 5:30 am today. It is most likely to persist over the same region and intensify into a depression today. Thereafter, it is very likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify further into a deep depression on October 25 and into a cyclonic storm over the westcentral Bay of Bengal by October 26 morning.
Moving west-northwestwards, it would continue to intensify further and reach over westcentral Bay of Bengal near the Andhra Pradesh coast around the morning of October 28.
