Bhubaneswar: The body of a doctor from West Bengal was recovered from a local hotel under the Town police station limits in Balasore.
The deceased has been identified as Pradip Mallick.
According to reports, Mallick would visit Balasore once a month for a day to overcome his addiction. Town police have sent the body to the District Headquarters Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
While it’s unclear whether the death was a result of suicide or other reasons, the post-mortem report will provide more insight.
The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Dr. Mallick’s death and are looking into various aspects of the case.
