Bhubaneswar: The dead body of a tourist was found on Udaypur beach in the Bhograi block of Balasore district on Sunday morning.
According to reports, the young man belonging to the West Bengal was swept away into the sea while bathing with his friends on Saturday.
After the youth’s friends failed to locate him, they filed a formal complaint at Talsari Marine Police Station of Bhograi block. Following the complaint police officials initiated an investigation into the matter and started searching for the youth, but were unsuccessful.
The police recovered the youth’s dead body from Udaipur beach on Sunday morning.
After arrival of the family members, the police took the youth’s body to Jaleswarpur Hospital for autopsy.
Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
