Nabarangpur: Animal lovers and locals have expressed concern as many wild bears have been sighted in human settlement areas of Nabarangpur district.
A few days back, three bears were seen rummaging for food in a drain in front of a house at Digisalpa village under Tentulikhunti block of the district.
A mother bear has also been seen crossing the road with her two cubs on her back at Sindhiguda is a Village in Nandahandi block of the district.
It has been alleged that animals are moving towards human settlements as their natural habitats are being destroyed due to forest fires and deforestation.
