Dhenkanal: In yet another incident of man-animal conflict, two women were killed in an elephant attack at Baghua Sahi in the Hindol area in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Thursday.
The deceased have been identified as Agari Samal and Puti Samal, both residents of Baghua Sahi in the district.
According to reports, the two women had gone to the forest to collect mahua flowers when they were attacked by a wild elephant. Both died on the spot.
The police and Forest department officials have reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the elephant attack.
