Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident in Cuttack district, a woman attempted to set herself and her three daughters ablaze over her husband’s alleged extramarital affair.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning in the Baliapada village under the Nischintakoili police station.
According to reports, the woman, identified as Jharana Mallick, attempted to set herself and her daughters on fire by pouring kerosene on herself and them. However, locals intervened and prevented her from immolating self and her daughters.
Upon being informed, police arrived at the scene and took the family members into custody for further investigation and support.
