Woman Beaten To  Death By Son In Angul

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, an elderly woman was beaten to death by her son at Para village under Jarpada police limits in Angul district.

The deceased woman has been identified as Shantilata Penthai.

According to reports, Shantilata’s younger son, Rathi Penthai, allegedly committed the crime late at night. The accused has been detained at Jarpada police station.

The police are investigating the incident, but the motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. Further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the tragic incident.
