Woman Beats Elderly Husband To Death In Odisha’s Daringbadi

Daringbadi: An elderly man was beaten to death following a heated argument on Sunday night in Mardipanka village under Daringbadi police limits in Odisha’s Kandhamal district.

The deceased has been identified as Netra Manjhi (63), while the accused has been identified as Subhanti Manjhi (60).

According to reports, Netra and his wife were living alone and they entered into a heated argument over some issue on Sunday night. The argument took an ugly turn when Subhanti started beating her husband. She allegedly continued to beat Netra till he fell to the ground and died.

Daringbari police station officer Anand Chandra Paz said that they rushed to the spot after receiving information regarding the incident and recovered Netra’s body. The police have launched an investigation into the incident and preliminary investigation suggests that Netra was beaten to death.
