Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly poured hot oil on her daughter-in-law following a dispute in Math Nuagaon village under Khaira police station limits in Baleshwar district on Friday. The daughter-in-law’s condition is stated to be in critical condition.
According to information, the quarrel broke out between Sabitri and daughter-in-law Sweety over trivial issue. Enraged, Sabitri allegedly threw hot oil on weety while her husband Harishchandra Sial was away for work. The hot oil caused severe burns on several parts of Sweety’s body. She was first admitted to Khaira Community Health Centre. As her condition worsened, she was shifted to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital for better treatment.
Meanwhile, Khaira police have started an investigation into the incident.
