Bhubaneswar: A minor has been detained by Bhadrak Rural police on suspicion of murdering a woman and her minor daughter.
The 15-year-old minor is being interrogated by the police on the charge of killing Mini Munda (7) and her mother Sahir Sukanti Munda (35) of Ganijang Hasinpur Adivasi sahi under Bhadrak rural police station.
According to reports, the dead body of Sukanti Munda was found in Baniagudi forest today. Locals found the minor boy sitting next to the dead body Sukanti.
Later, people informed the police who reached the spot and recovered the body of seven-year-old Mini from under a culvert near Aranji, about 1.5 km away from the spot.
The minor has been detained and is being interrogated for more information. The incident triggered uproar in the locality.
Further investigation is underway.
