Bhubaneswar: A man died after his wife allegedly struck him on the head with a wooden plank following a domestic quarrel in Bankapatuli Munda Sahi under Dhenkikote outpost of Ghatagaon police station limits.
According to police, Anand Munda had consumed alcohol last night and got into an argument with his wife, Jatri Munda. In a fit of rage, Jatri hit her husband on the head with a wooden plank. Hearing Anand’s screams, neighbours rushed the injured man to the Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
On receiving the information, Ghatagaon police seized the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. Jatri was subsequently arrested.
Police sources said she is the second wife of the deceased.
