Woman & Her Teenage Daughter Drown In A Pond In Nayagarh

Daspalla (Nayagarh): In tragic incident, a woman and her daughter lost their lives after drowning while bathing in a pond on Tuesday in Gholahandi village under Daspalla police limits in Nayagarh district.

The deceased have been identified as Rina Pradhan (28) and her daughter Barsha (12).

According to reports, Rina and her daughter Barsha had gone to take a bath in the pond at Ostasahi Chhak of their village in the afternoon today.

While bathing Barsha entered into deep waters and to rescue her Rina followed. In the process both Rina and Barsha drowned.

Fire Service personnel with the help of locals rescued them. They were rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) here. However, they were declared dead by the doctors at the CHC.

Police have seized the bodies for conduct of post mortem.
