Woman Jumps Into Mahanadi In Sambalpur, Dies

Sambalpur: A young woman died after jumping into the Mahanadi River in Sambalpur today. The incident occurred near the Mahanadi bridge under the Burla police station.

The deceased has been identified as Anju Kumbhar.

Eyewitnesses said Anju was seen standing on the bridge’s sidewall before jumping into the river. Despite attempts to stop her, she jumped after speaking to someone on her mobile phone.

Police retrieved her body from the water and rushed her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The reason behind her actions is unclear, and police are investigating the incident.
