Sambalpur: A woman and her mother-in-law died due to electrocution on Friday in Dabtaila village under Jujomura police limits of Odisha’s Sambalpur district.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the woman went to switch on the water supply motor in their house and got electrocuted. Seeing her, the deceased’s mother-in-law rushed to save her but she was also electrocuted.
Both the women were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition but the doctor attending them declared both ‘brought dead’.
On being informed, police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the matter. The bodies of the women have been sent for post-mortem.
