Woman & Son Electrocuted In Freak Mishap In Koraput

Koraput: In an unfortunate incident, a woman and her son died of electrocution at Jayantgiri village under Borriguma block in Koraput district on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as Duryodhan Amanyata and his mother Rama.

According to reports, Duryodhan was electrocuted while trying to remove his towel from a wire on his house premises. His mother, Rama, rushed to save him and was also electrocuted. Although Duryodhan’s wife and mother-in-law were also affected by the electric shock, they survived.

Rama and Duryodhan were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital, where the doctor declared them dead. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
