Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a man was allegedly stabbed to death inside his house while he was asleep at Gobindpur under Kabisuryanagar police station in Ganjam district on Sunday.
According to reports, a 35-year-old man named Kalia Sethi was allegedly stabbed to death by his wife, Pooja Sethi, following a heated argument over her alleged affair with another man.
The couple had been married for 15 years after falling in love and eloping. However, their marital life had been strained due to Kalia’s suspicions about Pooja’s interactions with another person, leading to frequent quarrels. As their fight turned ugly, Pooja allegedly stabbed Kalia multiple times while he was asleep at their home with the help of her father.
Kalia’s family members have accused Pooja of murdering him over her extramarital affair.
Meanwhile, Kabisuryanagar police have taken custody of the body and launched an investigation into the incident.
Kabisuryanagar police are investigating the case and gathering evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the murder.
