Bhubaneswar: A woman was allegedly killed by her nephew over past rivalry at Asura Khol village under Gurundia police limits in Sundargarh district on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Padma Mirdha.
Upon being informed, police arrested the deceased’s nephew Rajesh Mirdha.
According to sources, Padma had gone to take bath in a nullah when Rajesh attacked her with a stick. As she fell, Rajesh stoned her death.
Police, meanwhile, recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Police sources revealed that the accused has several cases pending against him.
