Bhubaneswar: A 56-year-old woman who was suffering from cancer, died due to COVID-19 two days back in Bhubaneswar.
The woman was suffering from Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of Breast (right) with Brain Metastasis grade-III, and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital, the Health Department informed.
With this, Odisha’s COVID death toll rose to 9,122 with another 53 persons who were suffering from COVID succumbing due to other causes.
The maximum number of deaths have been reported in Khurda district where 1,749 persons succumbed to the infection. According to the BMC, 1,192 persons have died in Bhubaneswar over the last two years due to COVID.
The COVID report shared by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday reflects that there are 128 active cases in the city, however, according to the State COVID dashboard, there are 105 active cases in the State and 5 active cases in Khurda district.
