Women at Barabati

Bhubaneswar: Hundreds of cricket enthusiasts, particularly women, gathered outside Barabati Stadium in Cuttack in the early hours today to grab offline tickets for the highly anticipated India vs South Africa T20 match, scheduled for December 9, 2025.

Offline ticket sales at the stadium officially began today at 9 am, but fans started arriving much earlier, with some forming lines as early as 3.30 am. Women cricket lovers were notably proactive, leading the queues and creating a vibrant early-morning scene outside the stadium.

“I am very excited for the match. The line started forming at 3.30 am, and the arrangements here are very good,” said one enthusiastic fan.

Another woman shared, “I am here to get tickets for myself and my son, as he is on duty.”

Security arrangements in the area have been tight and fans are advised to carry valid ID proofs while purchasing tickets.

The scene reflects the growing enthusiasm for cricket among women in Odisha, with fans braving the early-morning chill and long queues to witness the India vs South Africa T20 clash live at Barabati Stadium.
