Worker Killed In Mishap During Piling Work At IOCL Paradip

Paradip: A tragic incident occurred at the IOCL (Indian Oil Corporation Limited) oil refinery here on Saturday. A worker died after a piling pole fell on him while he was working.

The deceased worker has been identified as Satyabrata Majhi, a resident of Kaliapat village under the Kujang police station area.

According to reports, the accident took place during piling work at the refinery, which is being carried out by Krishna Builders, a contractor working under IOCL. While the piling pole was being dismantled with the help of machinery, it fell on the worker, Satyabrata, causing severe injuries.

Upon seeing Satyabrata’s critical condition, fellow workers rushed him to the Atharabanki Community Health Centre. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The incident has sparked unrest among the workers at the oil refinery.
