Bhubaneswar: Even as the minimum temperatures (night temperatures) observed an appreciable fall in several places across Odisha in the last 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued a yellow alert for dense fog in several districts of the state during the next three days.
Meanwhile, shallow to moderate fog occurred at a few places in Odisha with dense fog at one or two places in Cuttack, Sonepur, and Kandhamal.
Minimum temperatures observed appreciable fall at a few places in north coastal Odisha and one or two places in north interior Odisha. The minimum temperature is very likely to fall by 2°C to 3°C during the next 24 hours at a few places in Odisha and no large change thereafter, the weather office forecast.
The highest maximum temperature of 32.8°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 11.7°C was recorded at Rourkela in the plains of Odisha.
