Young Girl Killed After Being Run Over By School Bus At Khandagiri Chowk

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, a young girl died after being run over by a school bus at Khandagiri Chowk here on Monday.

According to reports, the incident occurred while the young girl and her mother were crossing the road.

While the woman with her daughter were crossing the road in front of Ramamani Petrol Pump, the woman fell on the road after being hit by a biker from behind. During this time the young girl who was a few steps ahead of her mother ran to pick her up. At this time a school bus coming from behind ran over the girl killing her on the spot.

While the driver of the accident-causing school bus has managed to flee the spot, Khandagiri police have seized the body of the deceased.

The deceased is about 16 years old and was a native of the Puri area. She was a student and was staying at the Arabinda Hostel in the Khandagiri area.
