Bhubaneswar: A youth was injured after being shot at by miscreants on National Highway 18 near Asanajoda in Baripada on Monday.
According to reports, the victim was chased and shot at by three miscreants who arrived on a bike. The attackers allegedly fired five rounds, hitting the youth in the head and leg.
The motive behind the attack is suspected to be robbery. Upon being informed, police are investigating the matter and reviewing CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
The injured youth has been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition is reported to be serious.
