Sundargarh: In a dramatic incident, a young man found himself stranded midstream in the Ib River in Sundargarh district on Friday.
As per reports, the incident occurred near Kudabaga village in Sundargarh district, where a young man named Atish Panda found himself in the middle of the Ib River when he woke up in the morning. Panda, who works as a watchman at a barrage, was sleeping on a small island in the river with his colleagues. A sudden rise in water level due to heavy rainfall caused Panda to become stuck on a small island in the river.
Fortunately, Panda’s cries for help were heard by local villagers, who quickly alerted the fire department. A team of firefighters responded promptly and rushed to the scene, successfully rescuing Panda from the swollen river.
After the rescue, Panda was reportedly safe.
