Bhubaneswar: A youth was arrested on Saturday for allegedly recording a video within the premises of the Shree Jagannatha Temple in Puri.
The accused, identified as Bhaskar Samanta, was found to be using a spy camera to record footage inside the Srimandir.
According to reports, Samanta was apprehended by the Singhdwar police after they discovered the spy camera during an interrogation.
The police acted promptly and Singhdwar Sub-Inspector Bikash Kumar Pradhan led the arrest.
Samanta has been charged under Section 30(A) and 4(C) of the Sri Jagannath Temple Act. He is currently in custody at the Singhdwar Police Station.
