Bhubaneswar: A youth reportedly died under suspicious circumstances while visiting his girlfriend’s residence at Similia village in Dhenkanal district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Biswajit Behera.
According to reports, Biswajit had gone to meet his girlfriend when the incident took place. He is alleged to have come in contact with a live electric wire while trying to enter the house through the backyard.
Following the incident, the girl’s family rushed him to the District Headquarters Hospital in Dhenkanal, where doctors declared him brought dead.
However, the victim’s family has rejected the electrocution theory, alleging that Biswajit was murdered and the scene was manipulated to appear accidental.
Upon receiving the information, police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the matter.
